Cymorth Cymru is the representative body for providers of housing-related support, homelessness and supported living services. Over recent months we have carried out a comprehensive consultation with our members evaluating the relevance and quality of what we currently offer and exploring what new kinds of services and products we could usefully provide to help them be the best they can be. Based on their feedback we are enhancing our current services but there are a range of new possibilities which we need to evaluate. We are looking for an individual or organisation to help us carry out: a commercial viability assessment.

We envisage that this will take a maximum of 3 months and we are inviting expressions of interest from those with the requisite skills and experience to help us evaluate these new business ideas and put together a business strategy for taking those that have potential forward. If you/your organisation have the requisite skills and experience we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in:

  • evaluating the commercial viability of business ideas within the Welsh socio-economic context;
  • communicating effectively with staff and board members to identify and reach business growth goals;
  • drafting business growth strategies that have resulted in successful businesses being established;
  • understanding of and ability to work constructively within the third sector and social enterprise context in Wales.

In order to find the right person/organisation, we are offering this opportunity:

  • as a short term employment contract
  • as a secondment
  • on a consultancy basis

Walkways Project Evaluation
Evaluation of the Walkways project. Period of Evaluation will be from February 2012 to November 2013. The eligible cost for the tender are: consultancy time, travel and subsistence. Where VAT is applicable it must be included within the overall price. Tenderers will be required to carry out part of the work in Dublin with the Irish partners WALK; this is an essential aspect of the tender.
